Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
The front shows the process at atomic levels, as hydrogen atoms align their magnetic fields to the magnetic field created in the MRI machine; then as radio frequency waves directed at the atoms are absorbed and released.
The back shows how the information produced by the atomic release of the absorbed radio frequency is measured (per tissue) and how these measurements are translated into an image.
